“ The broth was rich and creamy without being overly salty. The egg yolk had just the right consistency, and the noodles were firm and springy. The sous vide chicken was tender and juicy. Will come back :) ”
“ Tried the spicy ramen bowl. The soup is creamy and tasted really good. Unique ramen indeed. Service is very good. I love the high ceilings and the interior design of this restaurant. One downside is that they don't have a vegetarian ramen option. This place is one of my favorite ramen restaurants! Definitely will come back! ”

The prices are incredibly affordable, making it perfect for frequent ramen cravings without breaking the bank. “ Absolutely will come again! This is the best ramen I've had so far in Vancouver. I ordered the Kara Tori Paitan. "Kara" is a type of chili sauce, and the staff kindly offered to serve it on the side so I could adjust the spice level to my preference. I definitely recommend doing it this way: you get to taste the soup both with and without the chili. Both versions are delicious, but I personally preferred the Kara-infused broth. The noodle texture was just how I like it, not too hard, but still nice and chewy. The ramen came with 2 pieces of pork and 4 pieces of chicken. Although each piece wasn't very big, having a total of 6 pieces felt generous! The atmosphere and interior were clean and modern, which added to the overall experience. I also loved that they served cold tea instead of hot tea or water. It was super refreshing, especially since the soup base was on the heavier side. I love this place so much! ”
“ Like their simple ramen menu. Kara ramen soup is good spicy. Soft boiled eggs r good Ramen noodles r the thinner "Chinese noodles". Personally we prefer thicker Ramen noodles. Kids like Wings n chips ”
“ One of my favourite and best value ramen spots in town in a comfortable space. Kounotori specializes in toripaitan broth (creamy chickenpork), which is my favourite for it's rich flavour but also has Tori shio/shoyu which is chickenseafood for those who don't eat pork. The ramen comes with a whole marinated egg, wood ear mushrooms, caramelized onions and green onions and thinner ramen noodles. The combo with the onsen tamago don is also great and you can add your broth and mix the egg in to it to make a Japanese risotto-like side. ”
“ Decided to try this place out. We arrived just after noon on a Sunday and were seated quickly. Nice bright place with super high ceilings and a cool vibe. Ramen was hot and delicious. Broth was full of flavour. Pork and chicken were very tender. Egg jammy and yummy. We were very happy with the ramen. We also ordered wings. They came with a tasty roasted garlic sauce. I wish the wings would have had more flavour. I thought they were supposed to be soy flavoured but tasted plain. Service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely return. ”
“ This is the best ramen I've ever had by a wide margin oh my gosh. I've never truly had "great" ramen before. The majority of options in VanCity are pork broth focused and the chicken ramens tend to be afterthoughts. The service was great, I got a good portion for the price and IT WAS FANTASTIC! I now understand why so many people adore ramen. Genuinely life changing experience for my taste buds, I was sad when I was done. Thank you Ramen Kounotori ”
